Title: Implementation errors and failure of the suspended ceiling
Authors: WIĘCKOWSKI, A.

Abstract: This article aims to analyze the causes of failure of part of the suspended ceiling. The destructive tests of metal expansion plugs have been carried out. Their admissible loads were calculated – adm F, in accordance with PN/EN 13964:2014, and the actual state of the structure was confronted with the “general” ceiling scheme that the contractor had at its disposal. Although the expansion plugs met the load capacity condition, uneven load of hangers and exceeding their maximum spacing (up to 70%) and a long bracket (6 times) in relation to those provided in the system caused a structural failure.
