Abstract: The paper presents a numerical analysis of heat exchange parameters in an external, vertical building partition made of various polystyrene blocks. The influence of styrofoam internal laths on the distribution of heat flux density and temperature distribution in the partition was analyzed. The usefulness of Finite Element Method for thermal calculations of building partitions has been demonstrated. In addition, the economic viability of the use of styrofoam blocks for the construction of a single-family house was analyzed, a significant share of outlays on labor on the final price of the building made in the discussed technology was demonstrated..
