Abstract: The paper presents the results of investigations of a flow capacity of the conical vortex regulators. The research was conducted for the submerged and nonsubmerged outlet of the regulator. The results were presented in a form of characteristics of the free-flow and vortex flow in the regulator. The influence of the outlet form on hydraulic characteristics of the conical vortex regulator is demonstrated. The submergence of the outflow causes that the vortex flow appears for lower inflow rates than for the unsubmerged outflow.
