Abstract: The aim of this study was to assess the seasonal changes of the physico-chemical composition and human impact on the water of five springs in the north part of Babiogórski National Park. During the field work, the basic physical characteristics of water (pH, temperature, EC25°C) were measured. The ion concentration determined by means of ICP-OES (major ions) and ICP-MS (nutrients, trace elements) were marked in the hydro-chemical laboratory in the HGI AGH. The study area is characterized by large reserves of clean water with low mineralization (62.64–210.25 mg·dm–3 ). Classification these waters belongs to the HCO3 – –Ca2+ –Mg2+ with a significant share of sulfate ion type. It was a distinct influence of the geological structure (presence of hard, resistant to aeration and not very rich in alkaline components of sandstones in the area of alimony) on the studied chemical composition and variability of water chemistry throughout the year. The influence of meteorological conditions on the water provide lower values of Ca2+, Mg2+, HCO3 – in the time of spring and summer (rainfall and snow melting) compared to autumn and winter season. In turn, concentrations of Na+ , K+ , SO4 2– (spring) indicate the influence of rainfall and the supply of ions from the soil. The human impact and influence of vegetation on the chemical composition of water springs Babia Góra is insignificant, testified by the low concentration biogenic compounds, for example NO3 –
