Title: Importance of morphogenetical analysis in assessing the sensitivity of the soil-water environment to anthropogenic pollution on the Bielsk Plain

Abstract: The studies were conducted in region of Bielska Plain. Its landscape was formed as a result of deglaciation of ice sheets during the Wartanian Glaciation, the Wkra Stadial (Mojski, 1972; Lindner i Marks, 1999). These investigations reveal that deposits of distinct geomorphological units are characterized by different value of isolation (geochemical and permeable) parameters. Therefore, there existed relationship between morphogenesis of this postglacial area and ability to hold pollution of deposits building their subsurface zone. Linking the isolation properties of the sediments and their origin also allowed creating for this type of area classification of isolation capacity of sediments building distinguished geomorphological units.
