Abstract: The presented study aim at analyzing the results obtained by simultaneous measurements of carbon dioxide net exchange between the atmosphere and the surfaces transformed to the different degree by human activities (city, field and wetland). Turbulent flux of CO2 was measured using the eddy covariance method during the period from November 2011 (city and field) and November 2012 (wetland) to September 2013. The results confirm a relationship between the land use and the intensity of turbulent exchange of CO2 known from the literature. The differences in the intensity of this process observed in urban, natural and agricultural areas are clearly noticeable both in the annual and diurnal variability. Irrespectively of the season the city center is a source of carbon dioxide in the troposphere. Agricultural area and wetland are slight emitters of this gas in the cool season, while in the warm part of the year, due to the vegetation growth, they absorb carbon dioxide intensively. The maximum of observed CO2 flux (FCO2) values amounted for 40 μmol·m–2·s–1 (city center), –30 μmol·m–2·s–1 (fi eld) and –20 μmol·m–2·s–1 (bog).
