Title: Evaluation of shear modulus using dilatometer test (DMT) of Pliocene clays at Stegny research site

Authors: RABARIJOELY, S.

Keywords: shear modulus, Pliocene clay, dilatometer test

Abstract: DMT investigation have a wide application in geotechnical engineering to determine the continuous ground profile and soil physical and mechanical properties. From the DMT research four dilatometer indexes: ID, KD, ED and UD are calculated. The dilatometer indexes are used to estimate many geotechnical design parameters, including shear modulus G0. In this paper newly developed method to predict G0 values is presented. This method was applied for determination of G0 in Pliocene clay at the Department of Geotechnical Engineering Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW.
