Title: Active animal protection methods along railway lines on European Ecological Network Natura 2000

Abstract: Was the aim of this work the present action of the available methods of active animal protection along railway lines on areas of European Ecological Network Natura 2000. The authors focused on the idea of the operating and effectiveness devices of the presented methods. By applying the tested methods of active animal protection, which influence the savvy of animals, we could contribute to the improvement of the integrity and the consistency of the European Ecological Network Natura 2000. Due to application of the methods of active animal protection methods there are no barriers which separate the environment and also the migration corridors for animals are being preserved. Presently the available methods of active animal protection are: the optical systems called wolf eyes, the acoustic methods – ultrasonic whistles and UOZ-1 devices, as well as combine of the optical-acoustic methods take in to use the, which combine optical and acoustic solutions.
