Title: Geotechnical tests for estimation of engineering conditions at the edge zone of “Skarpa Warszawska” toe

Abstract: In this study a geotechnical tests were undertaken to characterize the site geotechnical conditions located on Tamka St. in Warsaw. A description of geology was based on the field investigation, laboratory tests and the archive documents analysis. In situ (boreholes, CPTU, DMT) and standard laboratory tests were used to determine physical properties and mechanical parameters of soils. The paper is mainly focused on anthropogenic fills, slope, fluvial deposits and Pliocene clay analysis, so its foundation purpose capability and mechanical properties, at the toe edge zone of the Warsaw Slope, could be determined.
