Abstract: The paper presents an example of morphogenetic investigation of the semi-natural river valley reach with application of GIS technology. Results of geological, geomorphologic, hydrologic (bathymetry) field works, as well as remote sensing analysis of Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite images taken by IKONOS 2 were analysed in GIS environment. This paper shows the database constructions as well as the scheme of works done for the assessment of the research problem with usage of GIS technology.
