Abstract: An incorrectly projected commencement date can be a source of delay in pipeline construction. Adverse weather conditions, among other factors, can have an influence on the relationship between commencement date and delays. They can be subjected to significantly changes during the calendar year, which may make the conditions of construction vary during that time. In this paper, the influence of air temperature on the duration of activities connected with pipeline construction in a rural area was analysed. The impact of the commencement date on the completion date has been demonstrated. The Software MS Project was applied to conduct the analysis. It was used to make a simulation of pipeline construction duration in different weather conditions. The basis of the simulation was the schedule for pipeline construction done in Wnorów in 2010.
