Title: Sorption properties of Vistula River flood deposits in the Magnuszew area (middle course) in the background of valley bottom morphogenetic

Keywords: river valley, alluvial deposits, sorption properties
Abstract: Investigations carried out in the Vistula River valley in the vicinity of Magnuszew (middle course) have shown the complexity of distribution of flood facies deposits. The type of lithological profile as well as sorption properties depends on site location in distinguished morphogenetic zones of floodplain: (1) terrace zone of meandering Vistula reworked by contemporary flows, (2) erosion troughs, (3) alluvial fans (crevasses), (4) contemporary terrace.
