Title: Numerical modeling of Czorsztyn Dam core saturation and pore water pressure changes using Plaxflow numerical code

Abstract: A problem related to the changes of soil saturation and pore water pressure within the clay core of embankment dam is presented. The numerical code, i.e. Plaxflow program was used for numerical computations of the mentioned above values. The calculations have been done for the stage of first impounding and for the draw down of the water level within the reservoir. The results of computations allow to predict the clay core behaviour in the context of water level changes within the reservoir.
